At our Scout group, you can hire our versatile HQ (Scout Hut), spacious marquees for your events or even apply to loan our Z5 minibus.

Hire our Scout hut HQ

Looking for a flexible venue in Twyford? Twyford Scouts HQ is a modern, well-equipped brick building available to hire for private parties, community groups, and local organisations, conveniently located close to George V Playing Field, making it an ideal choice for children's parties

Facilities available:

Main hall

  • Size: 18m x 7.5m

  • Capacity: Up to 100 people seated

  • Features: Bright, spacious, with underfloor heating for comfort year-round. Ideal for events, fitness classes, and children’s parties – even suitable for bouncy castles thanks to its high ceiling.

  • Includes tables and chairs.


Fully equipped kitchen

  • Use is included with hall hire

  • Features: Cooker, microwave, kettles, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher – everything you need to cater your event.


Upstairs meeting room

  • Capacity: Up to 15 people

  • Heated, with tables and chairs – perfect for smaller meetings, workshops, or breakout sessions.


Parking

  • Limited on-site parking

  • Additional allocated spaces in the adjacent Loddon Hall car park (left-hand side of the fence)

Our Scout minibus is perfect for all kinds of trips—whether it's a community event, or group excursion.
 

Built for comfort and convenience:

The Z5 Standard Transit 17-seater comes equipped with a tow-bar, reversing camera, and Bluetooth connectivity for Apple & Android phones, including sat-nav. It's designed to make your journey smooth and enjoyable.
 

Support scouting in your community:

When you loan our Scout minibus, you're doing more than just securing transport—you’re supporting local Scout groups, helping young people gain skills for life, and strengthening community spirit. We offer discounted rates compared to the commercial market to support local community organisations.
 

Who can use the minibus?

Under our Section 19 permit, we’re only able to loan the vehicle to non-profit organisations. In practice, this means Scout and Guide groups, and occasionally other trusted local groups we know. If you're unsure whether your group qualifies, just get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
 

Important information for drivers:

Drivers require a D1 driving license and a D1E license to tow. We will need more information from drivers, so please read the following carefully.
