Gain skills. Develop new skills by chatting, playing and having fun together with other Squirrels.

We are starting a new provision for 4 to 6 year olds called Squirrels, to help young people gain skills for life at a time when it matters most and where it's most needed.

From 2025 the Squirrels Dreys will be the first and youngest section of the Scout Group.

Every week, Squirrels will gather to grow and learn their way through lots of different games and activities

Squirrels can achieve anything they set their minds to – and they have lots of fun along the way.

The one-hour sessions will be a brilliant opportunity for young people to take their first step into being part of Scouts, and they’ll help everyone get ready for the adventure of school too.

Sessions will be packed with outdoor activities, fun, games, badges, laughter, and so much more to help our youngest members learn the skills they need for life. Of course, none of it would be possible without the support of the amazing leaders who plan and deliver such an inspiring programme.

Meetings

We will have 1 Squirrel Drey at 1st Twyford:

Squirrels – meet at Scout Hut in term-time on Fridays from 5:45 to 6:45

Get involved...

We're always looking for new Scout leaders, fundraising volunteers, committee members and occasional helpers. Whether you've got a little or a lot of time to spare, we need your help!

Joining Squirrels

We welcome applications for entry into the Squirrels section if your child is currently 3 years or older.

All applications for places at Squirrels should be made through our OSM platform.

Squirrels uniform

You don't need a uniform to join. But once you've settled in, you'll start speedily earning badges, and you'll need to know where to put them!
