Summer Camp 2019

Summer Camp 2019

ETA: 16:00 (updated Saturday 14:30)

Thursday 25th July and Friday 26th July:
Split into activity groups for the last two days for climbing, caving and fishing, sounds like they've had a fab time!

This evening they've had a BBQ and I guess maybe a camp fire song or three!

If all goes to plan they may be back a little earlier than originally expected (famous last words!). They will all be expected to help unload and put away kit, however, before they are dismissed. Watch the space above for timing updates.

Tuesday 23rd July and Wednesday 24th July:
The last two days have been a hive of activities. Following completion of their overnight expedition, the one half spent a day doing archery and shooting whilst the others started their expedition. All have also had the opportunity to do some grass-sledging which is apparently great fun! They've also had a movie night - white marquee sides come in handy!

Last night's storm was quite spectacular too - didn't manage to lose any tents and no reports of wash-outs (yet!).

Monday 22nd July:
Today, half the group started their expedition hike to the other camp for the overnight stop. The rest remained at camp for archery and shooting. Weather has been much like home - hot and muggy but cooling down late evening.

Sunday 21st July:
Coasteering and kayaking were the order of the day today, really enjoyed by all. When I spoke with Slick they had cooked their own meals and were relaxing in small groups in the huge field they're camping in!

Saturday 20th July:
Arrived safely, camp set up and all fed and watered. Looking forward to a day doing watersports tomorrow!
