Japan 2015 - International Jamboree

Were you born between 28 July 1997 and 27 July 2001 ? If so then this might be right up your street
Japan 2015

What is a Jamboree?

In 2015 30,000 Scouts from nearly every country in the world will converge on Kirara-hama, Japan, the venue for the 23rd World Scout Jamboree. The UK Contingent is made up 3,000 Scouts and Guides from all over the UK. Berkshire is looking for 45 Scouts or Explorers to travel to Japan to be a part of this amazing adventure.

The Jamboree itself runs from 28 July - 8 August 2015. However the UK Contingent will have a Home Hospitality/Tokyo experience before and/or after the Jamboree, so the time away is likely to be nearer to 3 weeks.
You have to be over 14, but under 18, years of age at the start of the Jamboree. Therefore, only Scouts or Explorer Scouts born between 28 July 1997 and 27 July 2001 are eligible.

The cost will be £3,195 for the Jamboree.  This fee is all-inclusive covering the Jamboree fee, Jamboree uniform, luggage, travel, food, activities, home hospitality, etc and will also include the pre-Jamboree training camps and events. It is expected that most of the cost will be raised through participant’s fundraising over the next two years, so don’t let the cost put you off!
