Many thanks to all scouts, leaders and others who came to help out with the Donkey Derby. The bottle tombola was a sell out so thank you to all who donated bottles; the crockery smash used almost all of our crockery ( though we didn't quite have to resort to raiding the HQ for extras) which is a rare event, we'll need plenty more for next year as we partly rely on leftovers from the year before . If you do find yourself with crockery that you don't want then please donate it for next year. All scouts who turned up for their shifts have been noted down and will be awarded patrol point accordingly. Andy This Sunday is the Donkey Derby, and as is tradition, the Scout section are running a crockery smash to raise money for the group keeping your subs down and the group well kitted out. If you have any old, chipped, unwanted or just plain ugly crockery that you are willing to donate then feel free to bring it down on Sunday. This Saturday we will be selling programmes at Waitrose 10:00 - 13:00. We typically ask for volunteers for hour shifts but if you can't do an hour then whatever time you can offer is still appreciated. If you are able to help then you need to let Tom Toy, our GSL (Group Scout Leader), know; you should have received an email from him which you can reply to, alternatively he can be contacted at tom.toy@twyfordscouts.org.uk ALL Scouts are expected to do their bit to support the section at this event so unless you have a reasonable excuse we'd like to see you helping out in top half uniform and necker for your shift, it won't be long and then you're free to enjoy the rest of the donkey derby. We will note down those who turn up and patrol points will be awarded accordingly. The shifts for patrols are as follows: 12:30 - 13:00 Hawks 13:00 - 13:30 Eagles 13:30 - 14:00 Owls 14:00 - 14:30 Falcons 14:30 - 15:00 Woodpeckers 15:00 - 15:30 Kestrels 15:30 - 16:00 Ravens 16:00 - 16:30 Kingfishers 16:30 - 17:00 Merlins 17:00 - 17:30 Swifts |
