New for 2017 is our first Archery course which will run over the following dates from the end of January till end of March 2017. This will cover much more than our normal "have-a-go" sessions we have run in the past and will include: Different styles of archery shooting Shooting at further distances Using sights Maintenance Range set up and layouts Safety and Taking Charge Gain your Master at Arms Badge This will be your opportunity to improve your technique, as well as become more involved in the running of archery. You will also be shooting as part of the Archery GB Progress Award scheme, which will based on your final assessment shoot of 36 arrows. Finally, you will ALL be given the opportunity to represent our Troop at the National Scout Archery Competition held at Phasels Wood on 6th and 7th May (Camping) Places will be limited to 12, and the cost will be £10 to cover the badge costs, and some of the training aids. PLEASE NOTE CHANGES TO DATES IN RED Sessions 4 and 6 Now confirmed As a MINIMUM, you will need to: Attend either Session 1 or 3 Attend sessions 2, 5 and 7 Attend either Session 4 or 6 Be available for either Morning or Afternoon during Session 8 (Half in the morning and half in the Afternoon) If you want to do more, you are very welcome! As you are probably aware, the HQ is also extremely popular with other bookings, and trying to get you all together to achieve this could be difficult!
