Scouts almost bring home the bacon at this year's GBC

posted 21 Oct 2015, 13:58 by Phil Hayes
Four teams from the troop took part in this year's Loddon District Great Breakfast Chase, held at Furze Platt. This event comprises an evening/night-time hike with a number of incidents and problems to deal with along the route. There was a strong entry this year, with 20 scout teams from across the district taking part, our 4 teams scored some valuable points towards this year's Murray Plate competition which was won by 84th Reading this year. We did manage to get 3 teams in to the top ten places, with team November finishing 2nd, team Alpha finishing in 4th, team Sierra came 8th, our lost souls in team Hotel finished 17th. All entrants enjoyed the event and a hearty breakfast on the Sunday morning - hope to see as many scouts at the next Murray Plate event (bowling).
