Cub Camp 2014 - Pirates took place from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th June at Longridge Water Activity Centre, an ex-Scout camp site on the bank of the River Thames just outside Marlow. A total of 48 Cubs attended keeping an adult team of 15 or so Leaders and helpers on their toes. Activities included a night hike, crate stacking, dragon boating, kayaking, bell boating and pirate costume making for the famous 1st Twyford camp-fire. Despite an unprecedented overnight thunderstorm causing environment agency warnings for the river, overall the weather was kind to a very active camp causing little disruption (No bailing out needed on this ship). Below is a small taste of the delights of the camp.
